Movies need to stop casting the same 20 actors

The other side
A film gets financed because a distributor in Seoul or Berlin recognizes one face on the poster. That recognition is the collateral. Producers cannot borrow against an unknown. Familiar actors also arrive knowing how to hit a mark on the ninth take, which saves whole days of shooting. Days are money. Audiences keep buying tickets to see performers they already trust.
