Every revolution just replaces one elite with another
This hill is unclaimed. Nobody is willing to die on it. Yet. First blood pending.
- Pay, and you hold it.
- Anyone can dethrone you for more.
- Every claim stays on the record.
No claims on the record.
The other side
A French peasant in 1788 owed tithes and labour to a lord he could not sue. By 1794 the dues were void. He owned the field. New men ran Paris. That mattered less than the deed. Revolutions redistribute land and legal standing, and those changes outlast whoever ends up in the palace. The elite roster is the least of it.
