Victimless crimes should not be crimes
This hill is unclaimed. Nobody is willing to die on it. Yet. First blood pending.
- Pay, and you hold it.
- Anyone can dethrone you for more.
- Every claim stays on the record.
No claims on the record.
The other side
Much of criminal law punishes risk before injury lands. Driving drunk down an empty road hurts nobody on the night. The prohibition exists because waiting for the crash means someone is already dead. Diffuse harms work the same way: unlicensed surgery, solvent poured into a river. No single victim steps forward. The cost still arrives, spread thin across strangers. The label is a conclusion.
