Prisons as they exist today are fundamentally unethical
This hill is unclaimed. Nobody is willing to die on it. Yet. First blood pending.
- Pay, and you hold it.
- Anyone can dethrone you for more.

No claims on the record.
The other side
Call the ethics of prisons fundamentally rotten and the woman whose ex broke her jaw loses the one thing keeping him away from her door. Separation is the mechanism. Nothing else reliably interrupts a violent person mid-pattern. Reform the sentences and the medical care. An institution with fixable cruelty is still an institution worth keeping, and ethics covers the people not yet harmed.
