Cars are way too fast, and accepting the risk is collective insanity
Two tons at 120 km/h, sold as freedom.
This hill is unclaimed. Nobody is willing to die on it. Yet. First blood pending.
- Pay, and you hold it.
- Anyone can dethrone you for more.
- Every claim stays on the record.
No claims on the record.
The other side
A merge onto a motorway at 50 km/h is how people get killed. Matching speed is what keeps traffic from tearing itself apart. The risk was priced in long ago. Licensing, crash structures, speed limits and enforcement exist because that bargain got negotiated over decades. Rural distances are real too. A car that cannot cover ground strands people from work and hospitals.
