Society owes everyone a home no matter their choices
This hill is unclaimed. Nobody is willing to die on it. Yet. First blood pending.
- Pay, and you hold it.
- Anyone can dethrone you for more.
- Every claim stays on the record.
No claims on the record.
The other side
A tenant who torches the shared stairwell twice keeps the unit under an unconditional rule. The neighbours leave. Every home handed over is a home someone else waited years for, and that waiting list is real families. Conditions are how a scarce, shared building stays livable for the people already in it. An obligation that survives any conduct stops being an obligation to anyone in particular.
