Fiction matters more to being human than any nonfiction knowledge
This hill is unclaimed. Nobody is willing to die on it. Yet. First blood pending.

- Anyone can dethrone you for more.
- Every claim stays on the record.
No claims on the record.
The other side
A person learns the world by testing claims against it. Nonfiction hands over the accumulated results: how infection spreads, what a signed lease actually binds. That changes what a life can do by next week. Empathy is built in kitchens and hospital corridors, among actual people. Invented characters are a pleasure. The plumbing is what holds a life up.
