Freedom should only be limited to prevent harm to others
This hill is unclaimed. Nobody is willing to die on it. Yet. First blood pending.
- Pay, and you hold it.
- Anyone can dethrone you for more.
- Every claim stays on the record.
No claims on the record.
The other side
Every act ripples outward through people who did not consent to it. A gambling habit drains a household. An untreated addiction lands in an emergency room the public pays for. So the harm line has to be drawn somewhere by judgment, and once judgment enters, the principle stops doing the work. Communities also owe something to a person's future self. Seatbelt laws saved lives.
