Call it exploitation and the second job becomes something shameful to admit. That costs them. Multiple income streams are how a lot of adults absorbed a rent increase they had no vote in. Rent is high because nothing got built near the jobs. Two different parties set rent and wages. Blaming employers leaves the zoning board untouched.
